Well heres a brief .... brief
This is a book that is written in the context of surfing, in language that surfers will understand and hopefully it is applicable to all of our lives not just those of surfers. After practising yoga for nearly twenty years and combining this with meditation of various forms, I felt that there werent really many books out there that could help us to understand the practical benefits of yoga and meditation to the mind, in laymans terms.
Those that know me, know that I enjoy the odd surf or two and I could see a very easy way to combine these three subjects into an unholy trinity.
It is designed not to make you the best surfer, meditator or yogi in the world but it does aim to make you the best and happiest surfer you can be, with really practical mental and physical exercises and a few far out concepts thrown in for those that like their psychology a bit magic roundabout.
From visualisation to slowing down time on the wave, yogic balances to understanding your surf expectations and what to do before during and after surfing, this is becoming a work of passion. What started off as a few pages is now turning into what is starting to look like a proper book :)
Hopefully will be able to tie this all together in classes and retreats after i have finished my vinyasa teacher training!
